This movie is actually hard to sit through. By about the twenty minute mark, I had already grown tired of all the principle actors and the comedy angle of “oh, we’ll just talk really fast and over one another…that’s funny right?” Jason Bateman plays the straight man with the intensity of someone cashing a check at a bank on a Tuesday afternoon, Jason Sudeikis plays the horned-up middle-aged guy that is apparently his calling card now, and Charlie Day plays the role of “most annoying person on Earth” to perfection. Was anyone really clamoring for a sequel to Horrible Bosses? I feel like we accomplished everything we were going to accomplish in the first one – I’m just surprised that I even gave this a shot.
